Investigations by The Weekly Vision reveal that all is not well at most of branches within Nairobi of Text Book Centre.  According to well-placed sources, Text Book Centre is offering poor services as well as very poor customer service across the branches.

But it is not the clients who are suffering the most but employees. Some members of staff who talked to us on strict condition of anonymity for fear of victimization claimed that they are made to work for long hours and poorly remunerated, there is no payment of overtime.  Morale of majority of Text Book Centre staff is at the lowest ebb across the branches and more so at Kijabe Street. There is no motivation.

Investigations further reveal that Text Book Centre is known to sell faulty or poor quality laptops across the branches within Nairobi and getting a replacement is a nightmare. Further, Text Book Centre sales through ONLINE needs to be investigated by the authorities, it’s a big letdown. Some clients are forced to wait for even two weeks to have their items delivered despite promises from the management. The management is slow at facilitating a refund when a client cancels an order or rejects an item of poor quality or faulty is also a nightmare at Text Book Centre.

It has also been discovered that Text Book Centre does not have fixed prices across the branches. For example, an Item at TBC Kenyatta Avenue is sold at Ksh. 2,000 while the same item is sold at Kijabe Street branch at Ksh.2, 500 and the same item is sold online at Ksh. 3,000.
