The funds are the fourth in number following his predecessor Wycliffe Oparanya who had earlier done so several times. So far we have purchased 180 dairy animals that will be given out to the less fortunate farmers within the county and urged the beneficiaries to take good care of the animals. “This is part of our commitment to implement development projects in every part of the county despite their political affiliations and we are keen to bring hope and peace in our homes by creating conducive income generating activities that will see families have food on the table”.

Malava Mp Malulu Injendi on his part warned UDA secretary general Cleophas Malala to use his position to drum for development for the Mulembe people instead of trying to appease his boss by opting to do away with both Amani National Congress (ANC) party affiliated to Musalia Mudavadi and Ford Kenya (Moses Wetangula), the two parties are the backbone of the Western politics

At the same time, Likuyani Mp Innocent Mugabe who attended the event blasted the former county regime led by Wycliffe Oparanya for sidelining the upper Kakamega in development matters. ‘It is saddening to notice how underdeveloped, Malava Lugari and Likuyani constituencies are as compared to lower Kakamega where the governor hailed but we know that you are a righteous man and will give all of us equal shares of development”

Malulu stated that it was ripe politically for the Mulembe nation and the two parties should be strengthened to give the region a strong bargaining power come the 2027 general elections and warned that folding them will render the region party less and without political muscle to jostle for positions in government

The event that was graced by various leaders from the ward and county level was termed a positive one as far as the revival of the dairy was concerned.

Separately the chairman of the Diary Francis Murambi lauded the move by the governor and called on the farmers within to start breeding Diary cattle as they will be of economic importance once the plant is operational.
