Following numerous complaints made by sports betting gamblers in Kenya to have Betika investigated, the Ministry of Interior has vowed to move and unearth the racket. Some gamblers claim that Betika has been colluding with unscrupulous individuals at the Betting Control and Licensing Board to con them.
According to gamblers who have registered their disappointment through various social media platforms, the ministry is their only hope in ensuring they are not scammed by Betika. One gambler has reported that Betika edited his Ksh. 150,000 win and to read nil then refunded the Ksh. 500 he had staked without offering any explanation.
