M-PESA Safaricom Mobile Financial Services PLC has entered into a strategic partnership with Dashen Bank SC and CashGo to enhance international remittance services. This collaboration will offer Ethiopians a seamless, secure, and efficient way to receive money from abroad directly into their M-PESA mobile wallets.
The launch of this service marks a significant milestone in M-PESA Safaricom’s mission to provide more accessible and reliable financial services to Ethiopians. Through this new offering, users can receive remittances instantly and utilize their M-PESA balances for various transactions, including sending money, making merchant and bill payments, purchasing airtime and data, or withdrawing cash from authorised agents.

Under the agreement, Dashen Bank will act as the exclusive settlement and acquiring bank, processing remittance transactions received via CashGo. CashGo will provide the digital platform facilitating the transfer of funds, while M-PESA Safaricom will ensure that customers can instantly access their funds through their M-PESA mobile money accounts.
