Fifteen needy candidates from Shitira Primary School in Chemuche Ward, Malava Constituency, have received examination materials in preparation for the upcoming Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) exams.

Philanthropist and 2027 Malava MP aspirant, Edgar Busiega, through his initiative, identified candidates who lacked essential items such as geometrical sets, logbooks, and cardboards, and delivered them to the school management. Busiega, an alumnus of the school and a practicing lawyer, expressed that he was moved upon learning that some candidates were about to sit for their final exams without the necessary materials due to their humble backgrounds.

In addition, he donated Ksh. 20,000 to ensure the candidates have breakfast and lunch during the exam period.

“I was concerned when I heard that some candidates from my former primary school were in need of these items, and I felt compelled to help,” Busiega said.

Accompanied by other alumni of the school, Busiega encouraged the candidates to focus on their revision and, above all, to maintain discipline, which he emphasized as a key factor for success both in school and in life.

“As a former student here, I practiced high levels of discipline and had visionary ambitions to become a meaningful member of society,” he added.
