US Based Kenyan Bishop Faces Scrutiny Over Questionable Conduct

A Kenyan bishop based in the United States, Michael Okututi Aseka, is facing growing scrutiny for actions that have raised concerns about his reputation as a spiritual leader and public figure.

A video widely circulated on social media shows Bishop Aseka, the head of United Faith Christian Centre & Righteous Light Ministry in Nairobi, enjoying himself in a Nairobi nightclub last month. The footage shows him surrounded by scantily dressed women while consuming alcohol, casting doubt on his spiritual integrity and the values expected of a church leader.

Bishop Aseka, who is also the proprietor of Trendstar Homecare in Virginia, USA, has yet to address the allegations raised by The Weekly Vision. This publication sought clarification on his behavior, including his stance on alcohol consumption and inappropriate conduct in a nightclub. Questions also remain over his alleged intimate relationships with some of the women present in the video.

“These actions, if proven, represent a serious violation of the trust placed in you by your congregation and the wider community in Githurai 44, Nairobi,” said The Weekly Vision’s Managing Editor in a letter addressed to the bishop.

In addition to these concerns, Bishop Aseka faces serious accusations of involvement in human trafficking. It is alleged that he has been facilitating the transportation of vulnerable individuals from Kenya to the United States.

On its website, Trendstar Homecare highlights Aseka’s dedication to high standards in home healthcare. He is described as a passionate professional with over a decade of experience in nursing homes and assisted living facilities, emphasizing integrity, compassion, and innovation.

However, if these allegations are substantiated, they could severely undermine Bishop Aseka’s commitment to professionalism and raise doubts about his integrity both as a healthcare provider and a spiritual leader.
