Kenya and Tanzania Finalise Historic Border Demarcation

The border demarcation exercise between Kenya and Tanzania, whose primary objective is to clarify and modernise a boundary dating back to the colonial era, is nearing completion. Although no dispute exists between the two neighbours, the demarcation, styled as a reaffirmation exercise, is expected to enhance cross-border cooperation and address practical concerns such as natural resource management, particularly the Maasai Mara–Serengeti national parks ecosystem, which is critical to the world-famous wildebeest migration.
