Mount Kenya Power Wars: Another Official Falls in Ruto–Gachagua Crossfire

The political rivalry pitting President William Ruto against his erstwhile deputy Rigathi Gachagua continues to cause thunderous friction within government, with individuals deemed disloyal to the Head of State being edged out and replaced by those perceived as unwaveringly loyal.

A fortnight ago, the Director-Generals of Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) and Kenya Rural Roads Authority (KeRRA) were shown the door over alleged disloyalty to the Kenya Kwanza administration. This week, a Commissioner with the National Cohesion and Integration Commission (NCIC) was dismissed over what the Commission termed as her “involvement in partisan party politics.”
