By TWV Business Desk

Dubai-based Aksaya Estates Limited has signed an agreement with Marriott International to bring the Courtyard by Marriott brand to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) in Nairobi. Opening in 2027, Courtyard by Marriott Nairobi Airport will expand hospitality at Kenya’s key international gateway, offering guests a balanced space for work, relaxation, and convenience.

The Courtyard by Marriott Nairobi Airport, already under construction, will offer about 180 flexible rooms and suites for business and leisure travelers. Facilities include two restaurants and bars, a landscaped courtyard with a fire pit, a rooftop fitness center, an 18-meter pool, and versatile event spaces.

The property has secured Preliminary EDGE Advanced Certification, IFC’s sustainable building standard, underscoring Aksaya’s commitment to environmentally responsible development. This will be the second Marriott-branded hotel owned and operated by Aksaya Estates in Kenya, following the successful operation of Sankara Nairobi, Autograph Collection, located in Westlands.

Marriott International boasts a portfolio of over 9,600 properties across more than 30 leading brands in 143 countries and territories. Courtyard by Marriott participates in Marriott Bonvoy, Marriott International’s global travel programme. Aksaya Estates Limited is a real estate investment firm with a long-term focus on commercial property development and management.
