“I’m very grateful to my party leader, Secretary General and Chairman for seeing it fit to nominate me as the Malava MCA despite many of us lobbying for the same position, I want to assure them that I will diligently work in ensuring that our party manifesto is realized and will engage my colleagues, the elected Kenya Kwanza MCA’s in Kakamega County to bring the needed development to the people of Malava and the county in general“-Truphena Asembo nominated MCA Kakamega County

The Amani National Congress ANC party has nominated a young lady to represent the women in the county assembly of Kakamega. Truphena Asembo who spearheaded the party’s youth women league before the last election has promised to push for the agendas of young girls including ensuring that they are in school and have access to the Ward bursary kitty like any other resident.
Speaking after being sworn in as MCA at the county assembly of Kakamega, the youthful leader hailed the ANC leadership led by its party leader Musalia Mudavadi for being considerate of the plight of the young people by nominating her to address the issues affecting young people within the Kakamega North Sub-county.
Truphena Asembo called on the girl child to take education matters seriously noting that it was a game changer in the country pointing out that more women were being elected and even appointed to various leadership positions within and even outside the country and it was only possible if one had some education

I will see to it that they have access to education without any hindrance and it is through this that they will be able to be empowered and compete effectively in the job market”.

I’m encouraging our young girls to come out in large numbers and make good use of our technical colleges within each Ward and acquire the necessary skills that can see them get employed or even create jobs for others through the skills attained besides being able to also be considered for various job positions within the county as we are having a shortage of technical expertise in many counties and if a lady has these skills she stands a better chance of being considered compared to the male counterparts.
Let us make use of the funds the government is remitting in these colleges as fees and upkeep and study technical courses such as mechanical, electrical engineering, plumbing, ICT, Tailoring, building and construction and many more that have lucrative offers within the country
