A self-proclaimed bishop at the Oasis Church George Kamunya is a man under siege. The bishop is facing numerous claims of having conned unsuspecting Kenyans through a land sales racket. He is said to be on the run as sleuths from the DCI trail him over cases of land fraud running into millions of shillings.

Victims of the land fraud claim that they were shocked to be served with a court order stopping them from selling the said land. A fellow Pastor in the same church revealed that he had at one time been lured to buy land from the rogue Bishop but his instincts saved him from falling prey. The pastor claims that the self-proclaimed Bishop has many scandals including sexually abusing female married church members.
He has been involved in sex scandals in the church which led to him separating from his wife. It is claimed that the rogue Bishop has been invoking the name of Kenya’s First Lady to dupe unsuspecting clients and to scare away those who threaten him with legal action to recover their lost money. Also on the radar is his partner Napoleon Makhokha Murende who has been using the same tactics and invoking big names to make quick money from unsuspecting citizens from Kakamega County purporting to sell his ancestral piece of land. The con-Bishop is now said to have been managing a big church in Nairobi but after he was exposed, the church has now remained a pale shadow of itself.
