Mr Polycarp Igathe who contested for the gubernatorial seat in Nairobi in the last general elections has landed a new job with Tiger brands of South Africa as the Chief Growth Officer Africa region.
Tiger brands Chief Executive Officer Noel Doyle, in his announcement said that Mr Igathe has the capability of bringing growth and strategy that will see the company develop further.
“I look forward to the diverse set of capabilities and knowledge of the continent that Polycarp will bring to driving the execution of our ambitious growth strategy for the Rest of Africa business and his broader contribution to the development and execution of the Tiger Brands business strategy,” said Doyle.
Igathe lost the August 9th polls on a jubilee ticket after garnering 699,392 votes to current governor Johnson Sakaja who vied on a UDA ticket and garnered 573,518 votes. His new appointment takes effect on December 1st.
