The Chief Officer of Housing and Urban Development in Kakamega County Mr Patrick Butichi presided over the performance contract signing with the directors and municipal managers at his Mwauda office boardroom.
Mr Butichi reminded the departmental heads of the need to maintain the codes of conduct and accountability to enhance the coordination of respective departments to provide excellent and seamless service. “Let’s take up our roles seriously and make follow-ups on the contractors to keep track of project status to ensure they complete tasks within the laydown timeframe.”
Waste management within Kakamega Municipality was given priority and it was suggested that concerned contractors be thorough in ensuring the cleanliness of the town.
