For the county to achieve the much-hyped universal health coverage, Kakamega County has partnered with various stakeholders to ensure the health agenda for her citizens is achieved fully.
The county has partnered with several consortiums and partners to prioritize health as among its top agendas as stipulated in the governor manifesto during campaigns last year. Speaking during the launch of the upgraded Lumakanda maternity hospital in the Lugari sub-county, Governor Fernandes Barasa applauded the efforts the partners led by Jacaranda Health had put in place to ensure improved and safe deliveries and maternal and neonatal health emergencies.
The county government of Kakamega has embarked on its implementation process by bringing on board Tutunza Kakamega partners (Jacaranda Health, Think Well, Think Place and Rescue. co to refurbish and upgrade maternity wings in Malava and Lumakanda hospitals respectively.
