Speaker Moses Wetangula Urges The Opposition To Go Slow On Their Demands

National Assembly speaker Moses Wetangula has adjured Azimio One Kenya Alliance party members to give President William Ruto more time to deliver on his pre-election manifesto. Speaking on Sunday 30th Oct. 2022 during the homecoming ceremony of Bungoma County Deputy Governor Jeniffer Mbatiany in Mt. Elgon, Mr Wetangula noted that the Kenya Kwanza government is incessantly working towards improving the economy.

“We the Kenya Kwanza team are just trying to form a government now. We have not even sworn in Principal Secretaries and I can already see the Azimio One Kenya people piling pressure on the President to deliver on his campaign pledges. I want to tell them to go slow,” he said Wetangula assured Kenyans that the Head of State would deliver on all his promises.

Kimilili Member of Parliament Didymus Barasa drummed up support for Mr Wafula Wakoli for the upcoming Bungoma County Senatorial by-election contest noting that he had been given permission by President William Ruto to offer support to Mr Wakoli

“The President has not even released his first budget to the people of Kenya. His first budget will tell Kenyans a lot about his plans to relieve them from the many challenges facing them,” he said. The Speaker promised to champion the interests of Western Kenya residents so they could benefit from the government noting that plans were underway to construct two coffee factories in the Mt. Elgon area aside from the construction of a 1000 kilometers tarmac road to benefit farmers in the region.

“We have our MPs working on a motion to revive the coffee industry in Kenya,” Wetangula said. Also in attendance was Kimilili Member of Parliament Didymus Barasa who drummed up support for Wafula Wakoli in the highly contested upcoming Bungoma county senatorial by-election noting that he had been given permission by President William Ruto “I have been given permission by my president, my party leader of UDA to support Wafula Wakoli for the position of senator.” Barasa said.
