Civil Servants With Links To Raila Odinga Face The Chopping Board

Those targeted are Rift Valley Regional Commissioner Maalim Mohamed, his Wajir counterpart Jacob Narengo and the Kenya Urban Roads Authority (KURA) Director General Silas Kinoti, others who are on the list include Trans Nzoia County Commissioner Samson Ojwang, Stephen Kihara of Uasin Gishu and Erastus Mbui of Nakuru

Barely 24 hours after the resignation of IEBC deputy chairperson Juliana Cherera, top Kenya Kwanza coalition allied politicians are now pushing President William Ruto to sack all the civil servants who supported Azimio presidential candidate Raila Odinga in the last election.

According to sources well versed with a meeting of a top decision-making organ at State House, pressure is mounting on President Ruto to show the door to administrators for their alleged roles in the Azimio campaigns. Targeted is the Rift Valley Regional Commissioner Maalim Mohamed, his Wajir counterpart Jacob Narengo and the Kenya Urban Roads Authority (KURA) Director General Silas Kinoti.

Kenya Kwanza top brass claim that the three openly and actively campaigned for Azimio and Raila. Others who are on the list include Trans Nzoia County Commissioner Samson Ojwang, Stephen Kihara of Uasin Gishu and Erastus Mbui of Nakuru.

President Ruto was the first to fire the first salvo during the campaigns when he complained that the Regional Commissioner of Rift Valley, Maalim Mohamed, the Trans Nzoia County commissioners Samson Ojwang, Stephen Kihara of Uasin Gishu and Erastus Mbui of Nakuru were part of a scheme to cause mayhem in the Rift valley and to disrupt elections to the advantage of Raila Odinga.

Also on the chopping board are parastatal heads that allegedly diverted funds to finance Raila Odinga’s campaigns. A source told The Weekly Vision that some of the parastatal heads are under investigation by the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission over financial mismanagement during the campaign period.  Kenya Kwanza insiders opined that it is just a matter of time before the president makes very radical changes in state corporation leadership.
