According to the staff who spoke to us on strict condition of anonymity for fear of victimization, they allege that their boss’s (Forsythe) behaviour is racist, and has been firing Kenyan workers without any justifiable cause, abusing and threatening those with divergent views.  They further claim that their attempts to have the ministry of labour officials address their working conditions as well as terms of employment have fallen on deaf ears.  as Forsythe bribes them handsomely.

Additionally, a source at the restaurant claims that an Indian Chef, named Manoj, is reportedly working at the Maasai Hotel in Nyali without proper documents. The source alleges that Mr Forsythe has taken care of the officers from the immigration department to keep Mr Manoj in the country illegally.

They also allege that Mr Forsythe has hired an Italian woman named Madam Eliza, who reportedly earns almost ten times more than other ordinary hard-working Kenyans at Maasai Bar and Restaurant. The source claims that Madam Eliza is rude and makes the lives of Kenyan workers difficult. She is married to an Indian man who owns a security company.

Before her employment with Forsythe, Madam Eliza worked at Yuls Beach Bar. The source also claims that the staff at Maasai Bar and Restaurant are forced to work long hours without overtime or transportation, and must pay for their uniforms.
