A case filed against embattled Malava MP Malulu Injendi by his opponent in last year’s election Seth Panyako was last week dismissed by the Kakamega high court which declared the former, duly elected.
Addressing his followers at his Lugusi home, the MP said it was a relief for him to be cleared the winner as this will pave the way for him to work on the promises he had made to the electorate during the campaigns. The MP who received a rousing welcome from his supporters lauded their backing before and after election and said their prayers towards his victory and also against the case filed against him had borne fruits.
The MP did say it was time for his opponents to agree and move on but was quick to challenge them to make true their social media postings of how they planned to move to the Court if Appeal.”My God who stood by me and gave me victory will again stand by me if you move to appeal my victory, we are determined to see truth prevail and I know my people and God will stand by me, as always”
He noted that he was now free to commence work that was pending including the cane prices that has been increased to Ksh. 5,000 and the issuance of permits that has now been simplified. On education he hailed the continued efforts his CDF office was offering in terms of bursaries and infrastructure development that has seen the sub-county being ranked position four in Kakamega County in the just ended KCSE exams of 2022. He confirmed that he will be vying for the same position in 2027 and cautioned his opponents to brace for a bruising battle when the time comes.
