In his message of condolence, the Governor eulogized the late Calvin describing him as a brilliant and hard-working person who exited the stage far too soon. “I learned with utter shock about the passing of Calvin who played a pivotal role during our electioneering period. May the Lord rest his soul in Peace “‘ he said.
He eulogized him as a genuine, dedicated and faithful person who went ahead to ensure the security of the campaign prevailed. Like all other members of my campaign security team, Calvin performed an exemplary job; Calvin will live on through his work. Safiri Salama,” Natembeya said. Governor Natembeya pledged to stand with the family left behind following the demise of the late Calvin.
On employment of ECD teachers, the governor reiterated his early stand of replacing those who had passed on. He assured ECDE teachers who had not been hired that a process of employment will commence in the next financial year. Answering requests from the locals in the Kareu B area, the late Calvin’s resting place the governor said culverts will be erected on the road to enable them to have a proper drainage system during the rains that had started, a properly graded road, he said will be done after the rains. On bursaries, the Governor said children who had scored 250 marks and above will remain in schools from form one to form four.
The late Calvin played a great role in the campaign team that propelled former Mr Natembeya to the most powerful office in the County; he will be remembered for his tireless efforts to ensure peace prevailed during the 9 August 2022 General elections.
The head of the County Public Service Madam Truphosa Amere eulogised the late Calvin as a gallant son of the County whose shoes will be too hard to fill. She nevertheless pledged to prioritize the education of the 7 children left behind by the late Calvin Mukite.
CECM for Public Service Management Samson Ojwang, Chief Officer Governance Sammy Sichangi, Lands Chief’s Officer Philp Kapten, Governor’s Personal Assistant Emmanuel Wanjala and a host of staff attended the burial. The late Calvin’s casket was laid down at 2: 42 pm.
