The Canada-based Kenyan lawyer Dr Miguna Miguna’s controversial deportation and his highly publicized return to his country of birth and back again to North America failed to attract much attention as he had expected. Dr Miguna jetted into Kenya and left without meeting President William Ruto. The president’s handlers could not allow him anywhere near the State House, the reason being that he could not be trusted.

Sources say Dr Miguna has not given up on securing a state job in William Ruto’s administration. A few days ago, he unleashed a scathing attack on Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja accusing him of being busy chasing girls and deals. Analysts say the Twitter post Dr Miguna shared on Governor Sakaja was merely to get the attention of the president. Sources say the president has given Dr Miguna a total blackout hence the need for him to get his attention by attacking Governor Sakaja through a public platform like Twitter. We have information that Dr Miguna has in the recent past tried to reach out to Governor Sakaja but in vain, hence the outbursts. In his Tweet, Dr Miguna claimed that the governor has done nothing for the people of Nairobi and that garbage collection and cleaning of the Nairobi River remains untouched. Although the governor is yet to respond to the allegations, especially on the alleged chasing of girls and deals, sources say he knows Dr Miguna is just seeking to attract the attention of the president hence he sees no need to respond.
Some readers will recall that of late Dr Miguna has kept off attacking and abusing retired president Uhuru Kenyatta whom he referred to as a despot in the past, while referring to Raila Odinga as a conman. Analysts say it was the president who sent his inner circle to tell Dr Miguna to keep off attacks on the two leaders. Does it now mean that he has outlived his usefulness to the KK Government or this is a clear case of use and dump?
By attacking Governor Sakaja and his administration Dr Miguna is aware that it would reach the president who in turn will ask his spanner boys to ask him to go slow. Unfortunately, it seems no one in the KK administration, not even the governor himself, is bothered by Dr Miguna’s outbursts making him irrelevant. Sources however divulged that Dr Miguna is making plans to travel back to Kenya and settle down permanently. There have also been rumours of him being appointed an ambassador or high commissioner.
