Revealed: Why Uhuru, Mama Ngina Kenyatta Skipped Mukami Kimathi Burial In Nyandarua

By The Weekly Vision

Former President Uhuru Kenyatta and former First Lady Mama Ngina Kenyatta were conspicuously missing during the burial of Mukami Kimathi in a move that was by design to avoid being humiliated.  The absence was after intelligence reports indicated that there were plans to embarrass the former first family. Fearing that it could generate unnecessary tension, the first family had to keep off with Raila Odinga sending their condolences.

According to sources close to Raila Odinga’s intelligence team, a section of Kenya Kwanza leadership under Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, had hatched a game plan to create hostile and derogatory insults at the former first family by a section of the crowd. This could have humiliated the first family hence a decision to keep off.

Just as rightly predicted, Gachagua asked Raila Odinga to ask his friend (Uhuru) to give Mau Mau back their land and that the government cannot purchase land to settle Mau Mau fighters yet their land was grabbed by known persons. That was not the first time Gachagua was attacking the Kenyatta family. Recently, he has been talking of the controversy surrounding the vast Kenyatta family land, insisting they must surrender half of it to resettle Mau Mau freedom fighters.

Gachagua was quoted saying “Those saying that the government should buy land for the freedom fighters, that’s fine. But the Mau Mau land is known where it is and those with it must return even if it’s half of it. It will be enough for the Mau Mau”. Gachagua did not stop at attacking the Kenyatta family, he went on to accuse unnamed officials of embezzling some Ksh.5 billion paid by the British government to resettle the Mau Mau freedom fighters.
